In its inaugural season as a club, the wrestling team is showing signs that it is more mature than a first year team.  At the Mott Bear Invite in Flint, Michigan on Sunday, sophomore James Walto  (Lincoln Park, MI) took third place in 197 pound weight class.  Walton's only loss was to Michigan State's John Rizgallah.  

The Michigan-Dearborn wrestling team has an online video which will help future wrestlers familiarize them with the wrestling team's practice facility at Romulus High School.  The team practices Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm and is scheduled to compete in various meets throughout the year.  If you are interested in joining the wrestling team, please contact Head Coach Grant Mackenzie at:  grantmac@umd.umich.edu.

The newly formed club wrestling team will have a general meeting on Tuesday, September 21 at 3:30pm in the Wellness Center Studio inside of the Field House.  Anyone interested in the joining the team should attend the meeting.  The wrestling team will be starting practices soon on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Romulus High School.
