The NAIA announced its Basketball All-Americans and Michigan-Dearborn junior forward Chelsea Davis was named to the Second Team. Davis, a transfer from Wayne State, averaged 17.9 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. This award culminates an outstanding season for the forward/center from Canton, MI.
Michigan-Dearborn women's basketball player Chelsea Davis was named to the WHAC All-Conference First Team yesterday. The junior forward/center averaged 17.92 points per game along with 9.72 rebounds per game this season. The transfer from Wayne State University also was named the WHAC Newcomer of the Year. Finally Davis was named to the WHAC All-Defensive Team averaging 1.72 blocks per game. Davis was WHAC Player of the Week twice this past season and NAIA Player of the Week once.
Ann Arbor, MI - The women's basketball fell in the first round of the WHAC playoffs 77-55 to the 2nd seeded Concordia Cardinals Wednesday night. Michigan-Dearborn (10-19) was only behind two points at halftime, but Concordia (26-5) shot 48% in the second half to outscore the Wolves 46-26 in the second half. The loss ends the season for the Wolves, a season in which they won six more games than last season.
