Dearborn, MI - The soccer team lost its final game of the season 3-1 on Saturday to the Madonna University Crusaders.  The Wolves led at halftime due a goal from sophomore Iris Mesic at the 8:33 mark of the first half.  Junior Nick Shultz got the assist on the goal.
The lead would hold up until the 67 minute mark when Madonna's Doug Beason beat junior goaltender Adam Kadri to tie the score at 1-1.  Less than two minutes later the Crusaders took a lead they would not relinguish.  At the 82:15 mark Joe Carver sealed the victory for Madonna.  Kadri made 16 saves in the loss as the Crusaders out shot the Wolves 24-5 on the game.

The game ended the Wolves first season as a varsity sport.  The soccer team went 1-12-1 in its first season.  The Wolves should be much improved next season as the team only has five seniors on the team.  The young team should be able to build on their experiences from this season and be able to compete harder next season.
