TRENTON, Mich.-- The University of Michigan-Dearborn Men's Basketball team has signed Patrick Hebda of Trenton High School. Hebda becomes the second member of the Wolves class of 2012. Hebda a 6'7 forward was inserted into coach Rick Morrow's starting line-up with 14 games remaining. The Trojans went 13-1 in that final 14 game stint finishing the season 16-4 and were runner up in the Downriver League. It was Trenton's best finish in boys basketball in over a decade.

Wolves Head Coach John Mackson believes that Hebda may be one of those rare college athletes whose college career is more successful than their high school career. "Patrick is a young player. Not in terms of age but in terms of experience. He has good size and a nice frame. I believe that his best basketball is in front of him." Mackson noted that Hebda has a unique set of skills that could present match-up problems for other teams in the WHAC, "One of our problems this season was a lack of size. Many of our players on the wing were giving up 3-4 inches a man.' ‘At 6'7 Hebda is a good outside shooter and is capable of beating his man off the dribble."

Trenton coach Rick Morrow also believes that Pat will be a difference maker down the road, "Pat's statistics really don't show his progress. He had limited opportunities early on in the season but made the most of his chances." Morrow added, "Pat has all the potential in the world."
